A National Seminar is being organized on MediaMediated Realities & Its Impact on
Psycho Social Well Being on 13th April 2013 in the College
Auditorium. This seminar is being organized under the aegis of Innovation
Research Team of Department of Psychology, Bhim Rao Ambedkar College supported
by University of Delhi. This research initiative is being under taken by 10
Under Graduate Students, three teachers (Dr. Navin Kumar, Co – coordinator;
Bishnu Mohan Dash, & Dr. Indiwar Mishra) and mentor Prof. N.K. Chadha.
Bhim Rao Ambedkar College came into
existence in 1991 during the birth centenary year of Bharat Ratna Baba Saheb
Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar. It is a constituent college of the University of Delhi
sponsored by Delhi Government. As a co-educational institution, it is
maintaining its incessant momentum on the path of progress ever since its
inception in academic and extra-curricular fields. The Principal (Dr. G.K.
Arora) and the staff have dedicated themselves to place the college firmly on
its pioneering tracks, preparing students for their fruitful and responsible
future. This is a unique initiative by the University of Delhi for providing
research exposure to the Under Graduate Students. This is an inter disciplinary
platform for exploring Innovative Ideas and practices keeping this objective in
mind we have announced this Seminar which may throw light to come out with
diverse ideas from a cross sections of Academics, Administrators, Media
Professionals and other Experts of different fields.

Innovation Research Team of Bhim Rao Ambedkar college (BRAC 101),
University of Delhi is organizing a one day National Seminar in
the college campus on 13th April 2013 (Saturday). The title of seminar is "Media mediated realities and its impact on psycho social
well-being".
Media messages are
playing a paramount role in navigating our day to day life needs, desires and
dreams. Media messengers have become an integral aspect for the contemporary
world. On one hand, media messages, information and knowledge have lead to
empowerment, enlightenment and awareness among the masses and on the other
hand, it is affecting the lifestyles, values, attitude formation and belief
system in a powerful way. In the recent times there has been a growing concern
as to how to use media gadgets in a way so that it becomes an aid to our
empowerment. Growing use of mass media has also attracted a large number of youth
and adolescents who spend too much time on it. The recent events in India such
as women's cause, issues of corruption in the high places and resultant change
in the policy making are potential indicators to understand media-man behavior
patterns of interaction in scientific and objective way. This seminar is being
organized in order to explore media messages and its impact on psycho-social
well being. Abstracts are invited for the same.

- Your participation in this seminar will be subject to acceptance of your abstract by the scientific committee.

There are NO charges for
registration and abstract submission.
- Last date for submission of abstract is 5th of April 2013.
- You will be required to send full paper by 5th of April 2013.
- No TA/DA will be provided to the Local/ outstation candidates.
- Accommodation will be arranged by organizing committee on payment basis subject to the availability of seats in the university guest house.
Organizing committee reserves the
right to make amendments regarding the rules and its decision will be
